Project Overview
What is the purpose of this Strategic Vision Plan?
A Strategic Vision Plan is a tool that is used to create a shared vision with a focus on short to mid-term priority projects, programs, and policies that will work to achieve the vision. This is achieved through a planning process that breaks down typical barriers, and considers the views and aspirations of the community, township staff, local leaders, and stakeholders and private businesses and organizations in the Township. The plan will include a set of strategic priorities and actions that align local leadership and the community, serving as the community’s blueprint for community change over the next three to five years. This may include but is not limited to infrastructure projects, land use initiatives, image and brand projects, public/private partnerships, or broader economic development related efforts. The key goals of the Strategic Vision Plan are as follows: Facilitate a transparent and engaging process; Bring together local leaders and community stakeholders to create a shared strategic vision for the township over the next three to five years; Develop a framework of projects (public/private), programs, and policies; Identify short term priority initiatives; Develop a cohesive image, brand, and identity for the Township; and Create a structure that empowers the community to implement the plan |
